Ms. Aimee Gonzales, Executive Director of the Partnership in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA), Philippines visited the Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University, Uji Campus; and the Global Alliance of Disaster Research Institutes (GADRI) on 15 May 2018. Ms. Gonzales was met by Prof. Hajime Nakagawa, Director, DPRI, Prof. Yoshihisa Iio, Prof. Hirohiko Ishikawa, Dr. Subhajyoti Samaddar and Ms. Wilma James. PEMSEA and DPRI discussed about possible collaborative and research exchange programmes from which both institutes could benefit and contribute to further disaster risk reduction and resilience. PEMSEA is a member of GADRI and actively participated in the 3^rd Global Summit of Research Institutes for Disaster Risk Reduction held at DPRI, Kyoto University in March 2017.
