The 21^st volume of GADRI Actions was released last month. It covers the 5^th Open Discussion Forum which focused on the Political Declaration adopted by the UN General Assembly on 18 May 2023 as the outcome of the Mid-term Review of the Sendai Framework implementation. The 5^th Open Discussion Forum was held at the Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University, Uji Campus, Kyoto, Japan on 12 march 2024.

In this volume of the newsletter, also shares the outcomes and the recommendation emanated from the discussions. It is hoped to share these outcomes and recommendations with the UNDRR Office and/or present them at the forthcoming Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction to be held in the Philippines in October 2024.
