We are putting together a mailing list of Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University graduates and visitors. This paves the way for a great opportunity to stay connected and to take advantage of many offers, activities, and events that DPRI organizers and sponsors.
For example, we have just posted the announcement for the 2017 Collaborative Research with the staff of DPRI at our website. For further details, visit the website and apply for collaborative research grants.
Another important event is the 3rd Global Summit of Research Institutes for Disaster Risk Reduction (GSRIDRR) – Expanding the Platform for Bridging Science and Policy Making which will be held at DPRI from 19 to 21 March 2017. The Summit is organized by the Kyoto University and the newly formed Global Alliance of Disaster Research Institute (GADRI) (www.gadri.net) You are invited to attend this Summit, and we extend an invitation to your institute to become a member of GADRI.
Should you wish your name to be removed from the list, please send us an e-mail to mori@eqh.dpri.kyoto-u.ac.jp and we will remove your name from the mailing list.
On the second day of the 3rd Global Summit, 20 March 2017, we are planning to host a dinner, especially for the DPRI Alumni and Visitors. This would be a great opportunity to renew friendships and networks, and maintain connections with DPRI. There will be a charge of JPY3,000/person for the dinner which will be collected on the day.
Please let us know your availability to participate in the summit and the Alumni dinner on 20 March 2017 by using the attached form. If you are able to attend the Summit, please also proceed to complete the registration http://www.knt-ec.net/2017/gsri/.
